THE IMPORTANCE OF THE DISCUSSIONS OF GEOGRAFER GEOMORPHOLOGY IN SOCIAL CONTEXT

It is a professional qualified to diagnose and prognosticate about natural and social aspects of space in an integrated manner with the aid of geomorphology in the social context. Discussions about ecology, environmental education and sustainable development often become barren for lack of this professional in such discussions. The appreciation and participation geographer can assist in environmental safety and success of a venture.

Zoneamento Geoambiental como Ferramenta para Gestão

Definir os sistemas geoambientais, com base no entendimento das potencialidades e fragilidades, representou um importante caminho para atingir a compreensão das alterações ambientais.
A partir desse entendimento pode-se definir modelos de planejamento, direcionando inicialmente para a esfera da propriedade rural, tendo em vista a maximização dos usos de maneira racional, respeitando as fragilidades existentes de cada ambiente.
A proposta é que o conhecimento da paisagem permita estabelecer uma gestão a nível municipal e regional. Hoje existem algumas iniciativas na região como a criação do Geoparque da Quarta Colônia, mas ainda não se tem um zoneamento geoambiental, onde pode-se identificar as vulnerabilidades e aptidões ambientais da região como um todo. Nesse sentido, pretende-se contribuir para a região realizando o zoneamento geoambiental utilizando como modelo o estudo realizado em Agudo-RS, SCHIRMER, 2010, aprofundando as discussões para estabelecer propostas de planejamento e gestão.
Definir os sistemas geoambientais, com base no entendimento das potencialidades e fragilidades, representa um importante caminho para atingir a compreensão das alterações ambientais, baseada em estudos da drenagem, da geologia, dos solos, relevo, processos da dinâmica superficial, uso e ocupação, além de estudos das alterações da vegetação natural.
No que diz respeito à relevância do trabalho, a idéia é aproximar a discussão para a aplicação de planejamento e ordenamento territorial, com base na definição dos locais apropriados para os diferentes usos, uma vez que se percebe, que as ocupações, nem sempre são precedidas de estudos que considerem as restrições dos recursos naturais, especialmente com relação a fragilidade das drenagem, das litologias, dos solos e do relevo, quando submetido a determinados usos. Por esse motivo, um conhecimento ordenado e sistemático da dinâmica ambiental se faz necessário, a fim de sugerir alternativas que tenham como premissa recuperar ou preservar a paisagem em suas dimensões natural e antrópica.
Com essa iniciativa tem-se a possibilidade de trazer maior aproximação entre meio acadêmico e sociedade como um todo, visando contemplar os interesses de ambos. Dessa forma, o estudo geoambiental na geografia diversifica a importância das pesquisas realizadas no meio acadêmico, podendo resultar em produtos que servem para fins científicos, didáticos, de planejamento e gestão de diferentes entidades públicas e privadas, ampliando o campo de atuação profissional e favorece a integração de especialistas e de experiências de áreas afins.
